Charging sessions

Charging sessions lists every session on your network — live and historical — with the driver, station and EVSE, energy, duration and price. The list can be filtered, sorted, and exported to CSV for reporting.

Session lifecycle​

A session moves through statuses: Starting → Active → Finished, with three detours:

  • Suspended — charging paused (by smart charging, or manually), resumable.
  • Expired — the session stopped reporting activity and was auto-closed by the platform.
  • Failed — the session never got going; the failure reason is shown on the detail page.

Intervening in a session​

The session detail page offers actions matching the current status (they require the remote-operations permission):

  • Suspend an active session and Resume a suspended one — for example while an electrician needs the circuit quiet.
  • Stop session ends a session that will not finish on its own. The confirmation dialog offers force close: closing the session on the platform even if the charge point does not confirm the stop. Use force close for stations that have gone offline mid-session.

Every manual suspend, resume and stop is recorded in the session's Audit panel with who did it and when.

Prices and receipts​

The detail page breaks the price down against the tariff that applied — including the consumption chart, day/night split and, for spot-priced tariffs, the hour-by-hour spot table.

For a finished session:

  • Download receipt fetches the receipt PDF.
  • Create receipt (permission-gated) generates one where it is missing — for example after a manual price correction.

Manual price corrections made through the billing tools are recorded in the audit trail with the old and new values.

Smart charging on a session​

For drivers using smart charging, the detail page shows and lets you adjust the active policy: manually selected hours, a maximum spot price per kWh, a best-price window ending at a departure time, or automatic optimization. The price chart shows the hours the policy has picked.
