Tariffs
A tariff decides what a charging session costs. It is the most consequential configuration you own: every change flows straight into what drivers pay, so tariff changes are always recorded in the audit trail.
Price types
Choose one per tariff:
| Price type | How the energy price is formed |
|---|---|
| Fixed price | A set €/kWh |
| Time-of-day | Separate day and night €/kWh with configurable day/night start times |
| Spot price | The hourly electricity spot price plus your profit margin (€/kWh or %) — VAT follows the electricity seller on the linked contract |
| Flat rate | A fixed price per session regardless of energy |
Spot-priced tariffs need an electricity contract linked, so the platform knows the underlying electricity cost and the seller's VAT rate.
Fees on top of energy
The tariff detail page has a tab per fee family; each can be flat or day/night-split:
- Connection fee — charged at session start, optionally waived when the session stays under a minimum duration or minimum energy.
- Duration fee — a fee per time period while charging, with a grace period before it starts.
- Idle fee — a per-minute fee after charging ends while the car stays plugged in, with a grace period and an optional daily time window in which it applies.
You can also set a minimum price per session, the pre-authorization amount blocked on the driver's card at start, and free-form additional costs per kWh rows.
Who and where a tariff applies
Two targeting choices control the tariff's reach:
- Applies to: all users, partner users, anonymous (ad-hoc) users, roaming users, or one team.
- Applies to EVSEs: all your EVSEs, or a custom group of them.
The platform enforces one unrestricted all-users tariff per operator (and per partner) so a session can always resolve exactly one price. Validity dates let you stage a price change: create the future tariff with Valid from and let the current one expire, rather than editing prices in place at midnight.
Verifying a price
Open any finished session on that tariff: the session detail page breaks the final price down into energy, fees and VAT against the tariff terms — the fastest way to confirm a new tariff behaves as intended.
